The trails of the Piedmont Land Conservancy’s Knight Brown Nature Preserve are now open to the public. Located in Rockingham County, this is the PLC’s first preserve open to the public. This will be a moderate hike. As described on the PLC website, “With almost three miles of walking trails, the Knight Brown Nature Preserve showcases a wooded valley, two gently rippling streams, many different types of ferns, spring wildflowers and the rare eastern leatherwood shrub”.
